A few years back I celebrated H.P. Lovecraft’s birthday (which also coincides with my nephew Cameron’s B-Day) by sharing a BBC production of At The Mountains of Madness. This year I thought I’d share another Lovecraft tale performed by Richard Coyle for the Beeb, with The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Once again the network did a great job with the production, although I do have a bit of an issue with how Innsmouth is pronounced; personally I always thought it should be along the lines of “Innsmyth” as opposed to how it’s pronounced in the program.
Regardless, this is still an excellent listen throughout and I thought I’d share one of the best (and, in the end, creepiest) Mythos tales Lovecraft wrote.
Happy 126th H.P.!
