Minotaurus was a cute little game in which each player starts in one of the four corners of the board. The coolest part of the game is of course building the board out of Legos. Once you get the board set up you are ready to play.
The object is to get your pieces moved to the temple in center of the board. There are difficulties though. The game includes a buildable die that lets you vary the game play each time you play. You will either roll and get to move several spaces, or if you roll a certain color, you may move a piece of the wall that matches that color in an attempt to block the other players. You might also roll and get to move the Minotaur itself, and force one of the other players pieces back to start.
You get to change the faces of the die, so that different walls can be moved from game ot game, or make it easier for the young ones by removing all of the colored faces and just worry about getting to the center as fast as you can.
My daughter thought it was great. She probably had more fun moving the pieces around than going for the win, but it’s Legos so who can blame her. The game was over in ten minutes, but we only used one of our Lego people rather than all three (it was a demo game). There were other Lego games there set up for demos too, but she was ready to move on. It was a genius move by someone at Lego to develop the Lego board game line. I can’t wait to try more of these with my baby girl.
