RPG fans of all stripes are anxiously awaiting the release of Torment: Tides of Numenera late next month and a new interactive video has recently dropped by way of Techland Publishing and inXile Entertainment. You’ll be able to see gameplay elements as you choose from different options during various story branches in the vid. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Torment not only aims to take gamers back to the glory days of Planescape: Torment (obviously modern graphic flair) but also incorporates the mechanics of Monte Cook’s smash hit pencil and paper RPG, Numenera.

Torment: Tides of Numenera has already been in early access for a year but the full fledged game arrives for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on February 28th. I have to say I’m really looking forward to grabbing this day one. Please note, for the video you’ll want to make sure you have annotations turned on and it may not work on all mobile devices.

About the game:

Explore Earth one billion years in the future in the science-fantasy setting of Numenera. Discover the Ninth World built on the bones of extinct, hyper-advanced civilizations and leave your own mark on it. Make thousands of essential choices, face the consequences, and meet death incarnated as you seek the answer to the ultimate question: What does one life matter?

Before the Ninth World was born, many great civilizations had risen and fallen, leaving behind remnants of their advanced technology. One man discovers a way to use these devices, known as the numenera, to jump between bodies and thus cheat death. Yet his method awakens a ancient and deadly force called The Sorrow, which tries to kill the death-cheater and all his former bodies: including you.
