The secret is out as on set photos reveal Michael Rooker, who played uber-racist Merle Dixon in season one, will return to The Walking Dead this upcoming season. We already know the character of the Governor has been cast by AMC and photos released last week show the same van from this photo in the background. Looks as if Merle has found his own group of survivors to *ahem* lend a hand.
The photo below shows a much clearer view of Rooker as he provides a young fan with an on set autograph.
The Walking Dead returns to the small screen this October 30th.
