Although other outlets published “clickbait” news items that Supergirl had been renewed over at CBS, the truth was the freshman series was in dire trouble from the midpoint of its first season when it began to hemorrhage viewers. Today fans of the show can breathe a sigh of relief as the word came from Warner Bros TV that Kara Zor-El will continue her heroics over on The CW.
No official announcement on all the details just yet but Variety and other reliable sources have indicated this is a done deal. Supergirl (and her order for 22 episodes to be shot in Vancouver) will join other Warner superhero properties including Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow at The CW next Fall.
