Guillermo del Toro is currently in talks to develop his vampire trilogy for television on the FX Network. The series, which takes on vampirism from a plague angle with little of the romanticism of genre, began with The Strain in 2009 followed by 2010’s The Fall and the final installment, 2011’s The Night Eternal. Joining del Toro will be Carlton Cuse in the role of executive producer and show runner.
Dark Horse Comics is also in the midst of adapting the story in comic form and seeing the tale hit the small screen would certainly provide a huge boost in sales for the new series.
