Halloween Spooktacular 2016 – The Witch’s Tale: ‘The Devil Doctor’

The first radio program to focus on horror-fantasy was The Witch’s Tale and it ran for seven seasons, 1931-38. Sadly, only around sixty episodes remain as recordings of the series were destroyed in 1961. Still, it’s interesting to listen and hear how radio programs were produced in the 1930’s.

Tonight’s Spooktacular is The Devil Doctor. There’s loads going on in this tale of witchcraft, black masses, and a return from beyond the grave. The Devil Doctor aired January 8th, 1934.
