Tonight we have another Wyllis Cooper production and this time around it’s the well regarded – but sometimes underappreciated – Quiet, Please. I have to say Quiet, Please is one of my favorite radio shows, although many of the existing recordings of a lot of the episodes are nearly unlistenable due to very poor audio quality. Thankfully, that isn’t the case with Whence Came You?

An archeologist and his team make an amazing discovery in the Egyptian desert. Yet, it’s very possible they’re on the verge of uncovering something more beautiful and horrific than they could ever imagine.

Turn down those lights and get ready for Whence Came You? as it aired on February 16th, 1948.

Download the show to take on the go right here.

In my book Quiet, Please aired the scariest of all old time radio shows with The Thing on the Fourbleboard. What I always appreciate about the series is the fact many of the episodes focusing on creeping you out don’t necessarily spell everything out and the most horrifying aspects are implied and become much more frightening when you piece everything together in your mind.
