At Any Cost is another great design from Hermann Luttmann and a very accessible wargame set in the Franco-Prussian War. I definitely dig the trademark Luttmann chaotic aspects to the game and the way each side is modeled to reflect their historic advantages and limitations. I will point out I found the game to be a bit more complex than GMT would lead you to believe but that's certainly not a knock.

    See you at Origins.

    1. As for the German pronunciations, I didn’t even try. You’ll have to ask Herm for those. He’d pronounce them and I’d reply “OK.” They could have been the names of the various cheeses he liked for all I knew.
