Adventure Time Card WarsCryptozoic Entertainment will release a two player card game this November based on an episode of the popular Cartoon Network series Adventure Time; interestingly enough the game, Adventure Time Card Wars, isn’t based on the entire series but only the titular episode. The game will recreate the epic battle between Finn and Jake to decide who is the Dweeb and who is the Cool Guy as the starter set will collect cards from the episode as well as new cards.

The starter set will include two 40-card decks, eight landscape tiles, and 20 hit point tokens. Code cards will also be included to tie into the iOS game on the horizon. The Adventure Time Card Wars Starter Set is for ages 15 and up, with a play time under 30 minutes, and carry an MSRP of $20.00.

From Cryptozoic:

Card Wars is the most epic card game ever found in the Land of Ooo, or anywhere for that matter! Now fans can play the actual Card Wars game! In the Adventure Time episode “Card Wars,” Jake begs Finn to play his favorite trading card game. Finn accepts, despite warnings from Beemo on how very competitive Jake can be while playing the game. Finn and Jake battle against each other to decide who will be the Dweeb and who will be the Cool Guy.

  2. Sometime in June/July some announcement must have come out, but the Cryptozoic site remains totally, icily and emptily void of any mention of this product. Considering that the release date many sources mention is November 2013, I begin to wonder if this is something that will be happening at all. I can’t find any primary source info from the company itself.

    • Actually, the announcement came at Gen Con. It is a bit strange we haven’t heard anything more about this but I’m sure Cryptozoic still has it in their pipeline.
