D&D is Going Digital with ‘Warriors of Waterdeep’ from Ludia and Wizards of the Coast

A new Dungeons and Dragons digital game is coming from developer Ludia and Wizards of the Coast. Details are pretty slim at this point but Warriors of Waterdeep looks to be more of a combat focused app game and is scheduled for release this Spring for Android and iOS.

From Wizards of the Coast:

Montreal-based developer Ludia yesterday announced their first partnership with Wizards of the Coast, known leaders in fantasy role-playing games, to develop a mobile game based on the eternal fan-favorite Dungeons & Dragons franchise, with the working title Warriors of Waterdeep.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Wizards of the Coast on such an enduring and wildly popular entertainment franchise,” said Alex Thabet, CEO of Ludia. “It’s important to us that our game stays true to the Dungeons & Dragons storytelling ethos and the Forgotten Realms fantasy setting. We can’t wait to share this game with fans!”

Warriors of Waterdeep (working title) is slated for soft release Spring 2018. Players can sign up to be notified when the game is available.
