15:40 Reviewing the Dungeons & Dragons Stranger Things Starter Set
47:50 Final thoughts and review score
Unfortunately the Dungeons & Dragons Stranger Things Starter Set is a fail on all fronts. The set doesn't make for an inspiring introduction to 5E by any stretch; fans of Stranger Things will be disappointed because this isn't a game actually based on Stranger Things; the adventure is a bunch of linear nonsense which is extremely weak and reads as if it were really written by a ten year old. To add insult to injury, the Demogorgon miniatures are made from a rubbery plastic which would make painting them nearly impossible and the prepaint is awful on the one mini. I can't recommend this to anyone knowing that a far superior (and lower priced) starter set is available for D&D.
Founder/Editor-in-chief of The Gaming Gang website and host of The Gaming Gang Dispatch and other TGG media, Jeff tackles any and all sorts of games but has a special fondness for strategy, conflict sims, and roleplaying games. Plus, he's certainly never at a loss for an opinion...
