Dungeons & Dragons: Tyranny of Dragons (Wizards of the Coast)Title: Dungeons & Dragons – Tyranny of Dragons Special Edition

Publisher: Wizards of the Coast

Authors: Wizards RPG Team

Year: 2019

Genre: Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying adventure book

MSRP: $49.95.

I share my thoughts on (and page through) the special edition of Tyranny of Dragons, released by Wizards of the Coast to celebrate the fifth anniversary of 5E Dungeons & Dragons.

Have the issues in this adventure, which I pointed out in my review years ago, been ironed out? Or should you completely pass on this special edition? You’ll find out!

Summary
For someone new to D&D I can say Tyranny of Dragon is worth picking up with the foreknowledge the GM will have some work cut out for them to make the campaign stand out; this isn't the most inspiring of adventures in the first place and is a serious railroad from start to finish. For those who already own both Hoard of the Dragon Queen and The Rise of Tiamat, I'd say take a pass (unless you're a serious completist) as the minor changes throughout don't seem to me as worth another $50 investment.
