Gary’s Appendix: Hardcover Omnibus is Up for Crowdfunding

The first six issues of the OSR zine Gary’s Appendix is being collected into a hardcover omnibus by RPG Ramblings. The 264 page hardcover will be chock full of GM advice, new rule options, monster stat blocks, and more for Old-School Essentials or any other favorite fantasy retro-clone. The Kickstarter project is well past its funding goal and you can reserve a copy of the hardcover (with PDF) for a $45.00 pledge or grab just the PDF for a $25.00 pledge through Mat 8. The PDF should by out in June while physical book is expected to follow in November.

About the project:

We Are Back!

Gary’s Appendix: A periodical zine filled with articles and an expanded bestiary for the OSR, using Old School Essentials mechanics where necessary.
Now compiled into a 264 pg, hardcover omnibus!

Issues #1-6 have been gathered together, given a fresh coat of paint with a new layout and full-color graphics, and smashed into an oversized tome.
Inspired by the AD&D Dungeon Masters Guide.

Gary wrote and collected a vast amount of information, rules, and guidance. Its haphazard nature and perplexing subjects makes it as fresh today as when he penned the work almost fifty years ago. Indeed, Gary’s Appendix draws inspiration from the past works of the gaming giants.

Gary’s Appendix is about our love for the past and our excitement for the future. We do not have the audacity to believe that we can produce a work that matches the magic of the AD&D DMG. Instead, we seek the spirt of that evergreen work by presenting an array of articles that are enjoyable to read, informative to the GM, and useful at the gaming table.

Each issue contains a collection of articles written for the OSR by a variety of authors. In addition, Jeff contributes an expanded entry for a collection of monsters from the OSE collection.
