GRUSS VOM KRAMPUS is an all-new, self-contained, 100+ page game built on Mörk Borg, utilizing their awesome rules and 3rd party license. It also serves as a handy winter-themed tool kit for anyone looking for inspiration for their holiday horror roleplaying games. It is fully compatible with Mörk Borg and easily mutated to be used with any other roleplaying game system but also stands alone as it’s own system and game.
Gruss Vom Krampus is a d20-powered game where players roll against a difficulty rating, in an attempt to beat it and succeed. It is simple to learn, character creation takes a few minutes and it is perfect for one-shot games. The book is inspired by classic Christmas cards and Dickensian book illustrations, using classic artwork, modified art, and the series of holiday horror card collections that I have been making for the last seven years. It is written, illustrated, and designed by Kris McClanahan.
In Gruss Vom Krampus, you play an elf in a place so naughty that the Seven Saints of the Season have abandoned the world. All save one. Krampus. But even the horned demon son of satan himself is overwhelmed by the bad kids. Descend from your northern castle as it crumbles around you and take punishment to the boils and ghouls that most deserve it. Impale them on sharpened peppermint sticks and drown them in hot cocoa. Only your stocking stuffed with coal can beat back the bad kids and allow Krampus to rise again to punish this wayward world of wastrels.
