Mass Market Edition of Ingenious to Carry Lower Price Tag

Fantasy Flight Games has announced early 2013 will bring a new mass market edition of Reiner Knizia’s award winning abstract puzzle/strategy game Ingenious. The new edition will be available for an MSRP of $29.95 and, while the gameplay remains the same, the components will be of a reduced quality in order to bring the price down. The difference is that the tiles are made out of board not plastic, and there are no separate stands for a player’s tiles; player tiles will fit into slits along the game board edge. The mass market edition will also ship without the previously included solo rules.

The new version of Ingenious comes packaged in a 10″ x 10″ x 2″ game box and should be on store shelves in Q1 of 2013.
