While there are interesting concepts in the new edition of Outbreak: Undead it's an unpleasant slog just to uncover them. The rules presentation is a complete mess and the layout is simply not intuitive for learning how to play or run the game. It's as if everything AND the kitchen sink is tossed into the mix as far as the three different levels of complexity, ranging from rules light to more simulation aimed. Personally, I think the book is pretty much a train wreck and can't recommend a purchase unless you're some sort of zombie RPG completist.
