PolicePrecinctYou can still order copies of the successfully Kickstarted game Police Precinct from Common Man Games and get it in January before it hits the store shelves in February. Haven’t seen it yet myself, but it sounds pretty interesting and is getting some good buzz.

Police Precinct is a cooperative game where the players take on the roles as police officers, lieutenants and detectives with different areas of expertise. The players must work together to solve a murder (which happened just before the game started), while at the same time deal with the increasing number of street criminals, as well as various emergencies that may occur around the precinct. To complicate matters, one of the players is playing a corrupt cop, bribed by the criminal underworld to work against the other players.

The players controlling the good cops win the game together as a group, if they manage to convict the murderer (fill out all card slots on the Murder Investigation Board) and track down the murderer before any of the fail conditions below are met.

The good cops lose (and the corrupt cop wins) the game if the city crime reaches to the highest level. City crime level increases when police fails to successfully handle emergencies in time, if all the street criminals emerge at the bad ‘hoods or if the stack of Event Cards is depleted.

Will the good cops be able to solve the murder case in time, or will the city fall into criminal decay while the corrupt cop undermines the work of the law enforcement? It is up to you, the players, to decide…
