I take you through a bit of a how to play as well as review the hit Eurogame Raiders of the North Sea, from Garphill Games and Renegade Game Studios. No news today as a majority of the show is devoted to the review.

Summary
The gang and I have really enjoyed playing Raiders of the North Sea. I especially like the mix of worker placement and crew management throughout while I also dig the variety of ways to score victory points to ensure a win. Some folks might run across some AP or feel the options during the game are limited but I didn't find that to be the case as we played. Certainly, this is one I recommend for those looking for a lighter Euro with a nice Norse invader theme.

  1. It’s no “Champions of Midgard” as far as visceral thrill of play goes, but I realy enjoy “Raiders of the North Sea”. Wonderful design, love the “put-down pick-up” mechanic. Lots of paths to victory. Just a great time. Have noticed that the game runs a bit long with 5 or more players and the latter part of the game develops a bit of sameness to it. Still, I really like it and am happy to have it and all the expansions!
