Storm Battalion (Third Eye Games)Eloy Lasanta’s Third Eye Games has a new roleplaying game hitting and you have to admit the setting is pretty interesting. In Storm Battalion, war rages across North America as nations vie for not only territory but to harness the mysterious power of supernatural storms raging across Canada. Storm Battalion, written by Brennan Bishop, is available now in PDF for $12.50.

From Third Eye:

It’s 1935 and war is raging in North America. Strange supernatural storms are appearing all over Canada and their British patriarchs want a piece of the power they’re unleashing on the world. The energy from these bizarre tempests is fueling scientific discoveries such as automatons, dirigibles, and incredible war machines. Super science isn’t all these super storms are bringing with them though—those who die within one of these storms tend to rise from the grave with horrific powers, and every army wants to use these Risen for their own ends.

In Storm Battalion, you’ll enter an alternate Earth where opposing forces battle for control of storm power and for territory. Canadians fight for their independence, the British struggle to maintain their dominance, and the United States wants some of Canada’s land for their own. Meanwhile, the European Union use their storm technology to fight alongside whichever nation is willing to pay them the most, and the independent nation of Indigenous people, the Kegintági, are a force not to be underestimated. Whose side will you take in this struggle, and what gruesome tactics are you willing to use to get your way?

Written by Brennan Bishop and published by Third Eye Games, Storm Battalion contains all of the rules you need to start playing and includes three sample adventures to help you get a feel for this tumultuous setting. This game uses the Dynamic Gaming System, popularized by Apocalypse Prevention, Inc. and AMP: Year One, to deliver a fast and flexible gameplay experience.
