Off Your Rocker, the latest game coming from Stratus Games is currently running as a project on Kickstarter. Off Your Rocker is sure to entertain gamers and nongamers alike as it’s a party game of “quirky insanity”. Time is running out to fund the game as it’s currently at 71% of the needed pledge amount with only five days to go! People know I’m certainly not a fan of traditional (and, to be honest, many nontraditional) party games but I an say that I found quite a few laughs packed in the preview cards I received.

Plus, $20 (including free shipping anywhere in the US of A) isn’t going to break anyone’s bank!

From Stratus:

You and the rest of the patients are suffering from a quirky problem and the psychiatrist must guess what it is by asking random questions. Will he be able to diagnose the quirk, or will he end up just as crazy as you?

Playing Off Your Rocker is pretty simple. Each round, one player is the psychiatrist and the rest are patients. The patients draw a Quirk Card and select one of the quirks. The psychiatrist then gets to ask the patients questions. Whether they’re asked the same or different questions, in every case patients must answer in the most creative and entertaining way possible, without directly revealing the quirk.

For example…

Quirk: Players think they are trapped in a bottle.

Q: What did you do today?
A: I built a ship in a bottle and really got in to it.

Q: How do you feel?
A: Not so great. I’m feeling a bit stuffed up right now.

Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: Recycling!

If the psychiatrist guesses the quirk before time runs out, he or she scores a point. Patients receive points for their performances—as voted on by other players. The first player to six points wins.
