We’re back at it again as Elliott reviews Hey! That’s My Fish Deluxe Edition from Mayfair Games and The Walking Dead from Cryptozoic Entertainment while Jeff reviews the Adventures Under the Laughing Moon RPG and Dystopian Wars from Spartan Games.

All this and the normal mix of oddness…

  1. Great job again, guys! Very entertaining, as usual. I knew you’d like Dystopian Wars, Jeff! I’m halfway through the rules and it does look awesome. No mini’s yet as I need to find the time to paint them, but I will at some point. Perhaps you can bring your collection to CSW Expo and we can play there? How cool would that be?!
Thanks again for a great podcast and good gaming!

    • I’ll do my best to get a couple of factions painted up to see if we can get in a game!

    • Mr. Luttmann,

You should be spending all your free time working on expansions for Gettysburg: The Wheatfield:) that game is wonderful, thanks for designing it.

      • Why thank you, Andy, that’s very kind of you. I’m glad you’re enjoying the game. I’m working on the expansion right now. We’re also figuring out how we can use VPG’s new production capabilities to our best advantage. Stay tuned! And yes, Dystopian Wars looks like it will be the answer to an affordable and entertaining miniatures game system. Thanks again!

  2. Thanks for another great show! Also, thanks for the review of Dystopian Wars. Looking forward to reading the rule book. Seems like a very thematic and cinematic game. I have been casting about for a miniature game, that I wouldn’t have to sell a kidney to play:P and involving a bit more tactics and strategy. Besides, I move all my guys roll a bucket of dice, opponent moves all his guys and rolls a bucket of dice and repeat for five turns.

    • We keep aiming to make the show as good as we possibly can! We’re just happy people enjoy the two of us having fun and chatting about games. I’d say Dystopian Wars isn’t overly heavy on strategy (and you’ll be rolling a fistful of dice) but there’s a lot of energy in the design and it’s a lot more than simply moving and shooting.
