Summary
While I have a few quibbles with The War of the Worlds - including the rules being less intuitive than I'd have liked, the counter stands being nearly useless, and a player aid which is just alright - I'm still having a great time playing it. There's tons of replayablity in the design and the additional variant with Tesla's technology adds interesting new avenues toward victory to pursue. Well worth a place on any solitaire science fiction gaming fan's shelf.
