About the book:

Welcome to the threshold of this new adventure for TRUE-d6 Fantasy!

Scourges & Leviathans is a series of mini-adventures for a group of heroes starting at level 1. In this book, the adventurers will progress to level 3 before facing the challenges to come in the next volumes of this saga.

Starting from the heart of Varnak, the last city, the characters will venture beyond the walls to hunt down the Scourges and Leviathans, terrifying creatures that threaten the city’s existence. Unlike the usual enemies in TRUE-d6, these monsters have detailed stat blocks, and each encounter will be unique, requiring not just courage but also strategy. Every battle against these calamities will take place in a dedicated arena.

At crucial moments in their adventures, the heroes will face particularly formidable enemies – the Scourges or the terrifying Leviathan. Battles against these creatures will take place in arenas, tactical maps where each space plays a strategic role in combat.

The battlefield terrain can change during the fight: trees, rocks, webs, and corrosive puddles will create obstacles for the characters, but clever positioning can also be used to their advantage.

These monsters are not described using a standard stat block but instead have a detailed sheet that outlines their various special abilities and body parts. If the heroes choose to target specific parts of the creatures, they can disable some of their abilities, making the battle easier.

However, beware – any destroyed body part cannot be recovered after the fight!

By salvaging intact parts from the corpses of defeated enemies, adventurers can bring them to the Arcane Forge, where they can decide which magical item to craft from them.

For example, Morbok’s Acid Gland can be used to craft either the Venom-Sealing Helm or the Corrosive Wand, but not both.
Which path will the brave Indomitable of Varnak choose?

To play Scourges & Leviathans, you need the core rules of TRUE-d6. For a richer experience, you can use the additional rules published in TRUE-d6+1 and TRUE-d6+2.
