‘Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition’ Alpha Playtest to be Free Digital Download

White Wolf Publishing is hard at work preparing a 5th edition of the historic Vampire: The Masquerade and will be offering a digital alpha playtest kit absolutely free. Previews of the corebook were shown at Gen Con and the designers are continuing to polish the rules for a 2018 release. This new playtest builds upon feedback received from a previous alpha released at the World of Darkness Berlin convention. Currently, the pre-alpha playtest links are up on the White Wolf site so keep your eyes peeled for the update to alpha. I have to say with folks like Ken Hite, Mary Lee, Martin Elricsson, and (recently revealed) first edition author Mark Rein-Hagen attached to the project the new edition looks to be in good hands.

Sadly, White Wolf doesn’t seem to be overly keen on putting out actual press releases (or I just miss them somehow) so this news piece is a bit stitched together from items found around the web.
