Video games are often regarded as child’s play and unsuitable for adults. For a while now, we have disregarded video games as proper art and have taken them for granted. It is now safe to acknowledge that video games are not only art, but they also bring joy to those who indulge in unraveling them.

If you are into gaming, whether it’s online casino gaming on a popular portal such as https://newcasinos-online.co.uk, or on your brand new PlayStation,  2019 is the year for you because several awesome games are lined up for launch this year. The eight most anticipated video games of 2019 are:

  1. Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest which was released in 2015, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is set to be released for PC and Xbox One in 2019, four years after its predecessor. In this sequel, instead of confining Ori to the Forest of Nibel, the game will be venturing out and tackling different obstacles set in different themes. Like its predecessor, this game is predicted to be a success.

  1. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

A game formulated by the very famous Star Wars franchise has all its fans on their toes. The release of the same was declared in E3 2018. Not very many details were spoken about when it came to this game but if rumours are to be believed, a few details were leaked. No matter what the case, this game is going to be a huge chip for the franchise to reach out to gamers. Hopefully, it is a good one.

  1. Mortal Kombat 11

Published by Warner Bros and developed by NetherRealm Studios, is set to be released on the 23rd of April, 2019. This games first version was released in 1992 and it has been declared a successful franchise since then. The release of the eleventh version was declared at the Game Awards 2018 and hopefully, this version will be a cherry on top of the franchise.

  1. Resident Evil 2 Remake

Already a deeply successful game, Resident Evil 2 is to be remade, revamping quite a few aspects of the game. Sources suggest that the remake is simply to update the graphics. The remake is supposed to tweak a few things about the character design and the gaming mechanisms. That is not it, though. The remake is also supposed to add quite a few more things to the game such as alternative weapons.

  1. Crackdown 3

Expected to come out in 2018, the release of Crackdown 3 was delayed by a few months due to technical bugs and issues. There is no concrete answer to what the issue and how long it will take to be resolved but sources suggest that the game is to come out in 2019 itself. All we can do now is hope for the best and wait for the game to actually release.

  1. Far Cry: New Dawn

To state that Far Cry is a popular game franchise would be a massive understatement. Far Cry is one of the best games that Ubisoft puts out and one of the most popular, too. This sequel of the game come one year after the predecessor, Far Cry 5. There are multiple reasons to look forward to this game, one of them is that this game jumps 17 years ahead of where the last game ended. It seems like the game will give a fresher scenario and outlook to its players. The game will be launched for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

  1. Rage 2

Set to be launched on the 14th of May, 2019, Rage 2 is set thirty years ahead of Rage. The game is first-person shooter based. All signs suggest that the game is going to be as action-packed, if not more than, as Rage. The game will not be launched through steam, it will only be launched through Bethesda Launcher. Rage 2 will be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

  1. Devil May Cry 5

Another popular franchise, Devil May Cry is to release the fifth installment of its game. The trailer for the same was showcased at the Game Awards 2018. Looking at the trailer, it can be seen that the game will not just have its two main characters, Nero and Dante, but also a new additional character “V”. V will be using three demons to spar, namely Griffin, Shadow, and Nightmare. With new information and character additions, Devil May Cry 5 will be an interesting ride. The game is to be launched for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

With multiple games coming out this year, it is difficult to state which ones we are most excited about or are looking forward to, but nonetheless, the aforementioned eight have a spotlight on them and we hope they don’t disappoint you or us.
