I share my thoughts about the collection of introductory Call of Cthulhu adventures, Gateways to Terror, from Chaosium Inc. Is this trio of terror tales a perfect introduction for newcomers to Call of Cthulhu? Or are these adventures so minimal they’ll only appeal to the most novice gamemasters and players? You’ll find out. You can check out another opinion with Sami’s review of the PDF right here.

Summary
The presentation is great throughout the book and these three short adventures will work well for newcomers looking to fill an hour or two. The tales were designed for demo games and are fun but experienced Keepers and players will find the trio of adventures to not be much of a challenge. I can see newbies getting a lot of use from the book; those with experience in Call of Cthulhu? Not so much.
