Summary
I found Mythic Odysseys of Theros to be more in the vein of a modern sort of Deities & Demigods than a full blown D&D setting book. While I do like the 15 gods included, as well as the options of how to best utilize them in your epic campaigns, overall there's far too much page space devoted to the gods. I can't say I'd have a good handle on the realm of Theros after reading this because there simply isn't much locale background contained within. The tome is also very weak in regards to player options and magical treasures. This isn't necessarily a bad book, just no where close to being a great one. If you want a more epic mythologically styled sort of 5E game then this is worth picking up. For everyone else? Maybe not.
