Summary
Dark Tales is an excellent expansion for Folklore: The Affliction and the eighty or so pages of new adventuring in the Story Journal are top notch and exciting. The choice of characters the players can choose from double and plenty of new baddies, both minor and major, will challenge the group in skirmish and tactical battles. There are also a slew of cool minis (although the second printing will include standees instead) added to the mix as well.

I just ordered the 1E bundle for the core game and expansion from GreenBreir Games(hopefully arriving this weekend) as well as late pledging the Fall of the Spire after seeing a video on YouTube. Then I started reading posts on BGG that started making me doubt the investment. I’m so glad I came across your reviews for this and the core set. You have me excited to play. Thank you.
