Hyperborea Player’s Manual Reviewed on The Gaming Gang Dispatch #834

The Player's Manual for Hyperborea is chock full of interesting ideas which harken back to the early days of D&D and AD&D. I especially like the fact that some of the more crunchy dynamics of the game systems are clearly presented. Hyperborea seem as if the author really has tailored the system toward sword & sorcery/science fantasy sort of adventures as opposed to just giving those genres lip service. i will say some of the artwork leaves me cold and much of it is uneven throughout. Regardless, I certainly recommend picking up the player's Manual even if you just mine the tome for great ideas and nuggets for your own preferred OSR game.
