I share my thoughts about Kult: Divinity Lost from Helmgast AB and Modiphius Entertainment. The urban horror roleplaying game has been quite controversial over the years as it’s setting is very mature, dark, and also a bit bizarre. If you’re a fan of films like Hellraiser, Jacob’s Ladder, and Videodrome then this fourth edition of Kult should be in your wheelhouse.

Summary

Just because I can't see running Kult: Divinity Lost with my gang doesn't mean this isn't an exceptionally well done roleplaying game. Mechanically, the game isn't going to be too difficult to run, although the concept of "Moves" can take some getting used to for those unfamiliar with the Apocalypse Engine. The production quality is top notch also. As for the setting, that's where the controversy about the game has emerged over the years and this is certainly NOT going to be every horror aficionado's cup of tea.
