Summary
I had a good time with Mandala Stones although I will point out a couple of the gang found the game to be rather boring. Of course abstract strategy games are a unique niche. The component quality, outside the flimsy player boards, is well done and the game is very easy to jump into. I think Mandala Stones plays far better as a two player game than for the full compliment of four; at least you can try to use some sort of strategy with two players where that goes out the window with three or more. I recommend the game but also understand it is not going to be everyone's cup of tea.
