I share my review of Monty Python’s Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme from Crowbar Creative and Exalted Funeral. Set in the world of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the roleplaying game draws inspiration from all of the Python’s work. Is this a humor book masquerading as a game? Just a blatant money grab? Or actually a bona fide RPG? You’ll find out!

Summary

I must say I was very pleasantly surprised to find a real roleplaying game at the heart of Monty Python's Cocurricular Mediaeval Reenactment Programme, and a damn good one at that. This certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea (especially since the game master faces a fairly daunting task) but for fans of the Python's this is pretty much a no brainer. The production quality is excellent as well. I have to say I'm not pleased to see player will need to purchase non-typical gaming dice to play. In fact, the RPG calls for a d18 which doesn't happen to be included in sets of Zocchi dice or even DCC sets you might already own. Still, I do solidly recommend the game.
