I share my thoughts about the stand-alone 3rd level Pathfinder adventure Malevolence from Paizo Inc. Is this horror themed adventure guaranteed to put a chill in your spine? Or is Malevolence as creaky and leaky as the old house on the hill which all the neighborhood kids think is haunted? You’ll find out!

Summary
I do like this new horror themed adventure for quite a few reasons. The Lovecraftian vibe is nicely presented while there are some very interesting encounters within. I also like the mechanics for researching the various topics related to the mansion. Since there's so much going on setting the scene, and the ability for the player characters to be travelling across four levels of locations at nearly any time, I believe this adventure will be tough on GMs and require a whole lot more prep than the average Pathfinder Adventure Path chapter.
