One of the most highly anticipated releases of 2014 is the 5th edition of the Dungeons & Dragons rules – for fans of role playing especially – and the first release which is hitting later this month is the D&D Starter Set box.  While the starter box surely isn’t the whole of the new D&D system in a nutshell there’s enough present to give people a good feel for what the new edition has in store and the direction of franchise is about as far as an overall focus on bringing back the fun and excitement to Dungeons & Dragons. 4th edition leaned heavily on combat where, at least in the case of the D&D Starter Set, 5th edition looks like roleplaying and storytelling is the main goal.
