Summary
While the Tales from the Loop Starter Set is nicely presented, I'm not sure who this release is actually for since the actual TftL corebook is already aimed at newcomers to roleplaying. The included introductory adventure is fine but will probably only take a two or three hour session to complete. At the current retail price point this boxed set really doesn't stack up when you look at the many other starter boxed sets out there for D&D, Starfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk Red, and many others far more packed with gaming content for a $30.00 price tag. I'd recommend saving money and purchasing both the corebook and this starter set in PDF (the starter set is only $4.99) and just supply your own six sided dice. Although nothing is technically wrong with this starter set I can't recommend this purchase for most gamers.
