Tonight I’m bringing you what I consider to be more than likely the scariest episode of a radio program I have ever heard. This is a fantastic tale and I love to share it each and every year. The series Quiet, Please is an all time favorite of many fans of old time radio as it had a very unique style compared to other fantasy or horror programs airing in the 1940s and 1950s. Some episodes were played a bit tongue in cheek while others, like tonight’s, were deadly serious.
Turn out the lights, sit back, and give a listen to The Thing on the Fourble Board on Quiet Please as it aired on August 9th, 1948.
