This June WizKids takes you back to the days of hard boiled pulp detectives and film noir mysteries with Deadline. Set in 1930’s New York, two to five players will cooperate to investigate a dozen cases by using Lead cards to uncover clues and (hopefully) solve each mystery. Deadline will feature twelve cases with 17 to 21 cards each, eight Detective cards, 66 Lead and Plot Twist cards, Hot Tip and Bullet tokens, a case book, a question book, and a solution book.
I wish I could say there are more concrete details about the gameplay at the moment but, sadly, what’s available out there is still a bit sketchy. Regardless, I love the pulp style box cover and I’m hoping the game provides a nice noir vibe to the proceedings. Deadline is scheduled for a release in the late Spring and will carry an MSRP of $44.99.
