From Days of Wonder:
There are many frightening inhabitants of Small World, but to survive you must Be Not Afraid…! This new expansion for Small World includes a nasty lot of five new Races including Barbarians, Homunculi, Pixies, Pygmies, and greedy little Leprechauns. You’ll also get five new Special Powers which allows you to leap over regions to conquer new lands. Be Not Afraid… requires the original Small World board game to play.

This is the first game I have seen where they take so many gamer submissions. I have seen a lot of great race ideas on BGG, and many of them seem to be coming out in expansions. The downside is that it is getting tough to keep track of all the races, and we have 4 different little race sheets floating around the table.

I wish they would provide a new counter tray that would hold all the new pieces that these little expansions provide. I end up with a main tray and a bunch of baggies of tiles.
I also wonder if they will print a version of the base game which includes all the little expansions.

It appears that the new expansion does include a new tray to hold all the new tiles. Very cool that they DoW decided to do that. Expansion now ordered. 🙂
