This book has twenty-one essays by veterans in the RPG industry to make your magic more immersive, detailed, and real in your fantasy world. It is system agnostic so anyone in a fantasy setting could find the essays of value. It has applications for both authors and dungeon masters for using divination, magic cabals, magic that operates based on masculine and feminine energy, etc. The essayists do not come across as preachy or pushing a social agenda, which is welcome in an era where these things tend to creep into the hobby.

It is worth a read. It will not be a go to reference for every game, but it will help setup the groundwork in a campaign that uses magic. I would recommend checking out your local library to see if you can get copy, and hold off on purchasing until you have read it as applicability will vary.
