The Forsaken RPG is Out in Print and PDF

Author Kyle Tam and Afterthought Committee have released the Forsaken roleplaying game through Exalted Funeral. In the game, players take on the role of heroes who have been left behind by the world around them after their battle against darkness ended. The 32 page zine (with PDF) carries an MSRP of $18.00 or grab just the PDF for $11.00.

About the game:

Hope is a flame in the darkness lighting a path to tomorrow. You were venerated and celebrated by all. Raised in darkness. Unloved. Tasked to create a paradise for your people, yet existing without purpose. Each day spent in ceaseless combat, vanquishing the minions of darkness. Each day spent in mind-numbing misery, longing for that which you can’t comprehend.

Until that hopeful day you received a book and a letter…

Between reality and fantasy. Between imprisonment and freedom. Between the nameless and the venerated. They are the ones the world left behind, the ones who must fight for their own tomorrow. THEY ARE FORSAKEN.

FORSAKEN is a game about changing the world with the power of storytelling. You are famed heroes and nameless children, each seeking to define themselves in a world that has condemned you to servitude.

You’ll need several d6, makeshift tokens, and 1–4 other players to get started. One of you will act as Game Master, improvising the actions of friends, strangers, and enemies, as well as setting the scenes you’ll be playing in. The other players will become the Forsaken, creating their own characters and moving the story forward between The Kingdom and The City.
