I sit down to tackle the second edition of the fantasy roleplaying game Knave from author Ben Milton and Questing Beast Games. The old school inspired RPG features a rules light approach to adventuring. I dive into the 80 page special edition.

Is Knave 2E worthy of its surrounding hype? Or is the book simply filled with a bunch of random tables and little actual game? You’ll find out!

SUMMARY

There's plenty of old school inspired goodness packed inside Knave 2E's 80 pages. Rather than simply being a toolkit filled with random tables there's also a very solid rules light system which should be exceptionally easy for players and GMs to grasp. I will say the pricing does strike me as rather high for the overall page count, considering what we see from other small to mid-sized publishers.
