I share my review of the Hostile Waters box set, for the Twilight: 2000 roleplaying game, from Free League Publishing. The expansion contains new water combat rules, battle maps, counters, and adventure plotlines. The book includes four relatively lengthy campaign plots plus scenario locales. Is this an invaluable resource for post-apocalyptic tales on the waterways of Europe? Or is this box set just all wet? You’ll find out!

SUMMARY

I certainly recommend Twilight: 2000 Hostile Waters but would like to see Free League Publishing do more than simply retool first edition TW2000 tales for the 21st Century. Plus, it's pretty obvious there isn't a military consultant used for this series as some things aren't technically correct. Regardless, there's plenty here to recommend this box set to those running the fourth edition of TW2000.
