George A. Romero Penning Zombie Comic Book for Marvel

The man who could be said the be the father of the modern zombie genre is bringing his talents to Marvel Comics. In an interview with Twitchfilm, Romero pointed out he’s currently adapting a zombie novel (The Zombie Autopsies) for the screen and that he’s in midst of writing a comic for Marvel by saying “I am writing it now, but its plot is a secret.” Romero didn’t give up too many details but when pressed mentioned, “Well, I can tell you that it won’t involve any of their on-going characters, there will be no superheroes. But their will be zombies.”

I’d say this is pretty exciting news for fans of zombie comics!
