The Gaming Gang Interview with Paolo Parente

by Jeff McAleerFebruary 24, 2013

Illustrator, designer, as well as the creator of the Dust universe – Paolo Parente – sat down to chat with me at the Dust Devils Southwest event held at Imperial Outpost Games this past Friday and Saturday. I have to say talking with Paolo off the record before the interview and on the record during was a blast; what a truly fun and outspoken guy! Plus a real gentleman also. I’m hoping he’ll be making a trip to San Diego for the con this year, even if it’s just to shoot the breeze without publication.

If you’d like to know the latest goings on in the Dust universe swing over to Paolo’s Dust website. Of course many Dust products are available through Fantasy Flight Games and you can also order items which may not be available at FFG from Paolo’s site.

I do have to point out because of the event going on, and all the tables set up, Paolo and I could only grab a spot in the corner of the store to conduct the interview. My apologies for the sun glare as a backlight but we made the best of the situation.

Thanks for the interview. I like the Dust Warfare rules, especially the reaction, command and suppression rules and with an Amazon prime membership, you can actually pick up models without selling a kidney and they look nice. Combined with your upcoming painting tutorials, I may have to take the plunge and get some more models to supplement my copy of Dust Tactics Core Set.
