The Gaming Gang Episode 46: The Doctor Who Card Game, Smash Up, Cthulhu Fluxx, The Laundry RPG and More!

Elliott and I hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day and if you’re just lazing around the house what better way to spend an hour and a half but by listening to our latest episode? Unless you don’t live in the U.S. as then it’s just a normal Monday workday. Still we’re here to hopefully bring you a smile!

On this episode we review Doctor Who The Card Game and The Laundry RPG from Cubicle 7 Studios, Cthulhu Fluxx from Looney Labs, and Smash Up from AEG.

Download the show to take on the go right here.

And don’t forget, The Gaming Gang podcast is on iTunes.

*** UPDATE *** Since I’ve already received a few emails asking to share our recap we recorded at Gen Con 2012, I’m including a download link to hear our unedited twelve minutes or so where Elliott, Greg, and I chat about the show. I’m not going to add it to the feed or put together an intro or outro for it (as it really isn’t TGG at our finest as we were dead beat) but if folks would like to give a listen they can snag it here.

    Basil Wolverton?

    • Jeff McAleer says:

Ah, the old Mad magazine artist – or at least I seem to remember he did stuff for Mad. Actually the artist I was trying to think of was Ed “Big Daddy” Roth.

  2. Matt says:

Oh yeah, I forgot about him! Did a lot of car art and crazy characters and stuff. Similar art style to Wolverton. Cool.

Another fun show guys! I noticed this one clipped along very nicely! I noticed the previous episode seemed to have a lot less energy than I used to hearing from the two of you so it was good to have you back on track.

I have to say our previous episode more than likely had the same energy level as all our other shows but the editing was a little different. I normally tackle the editing duties but because I had to hit the road right after we recorded episode 45, Elliott took on the job. I tend to focus on pacing quite a lot but much of “style” you regularly hear I suppose I’ll say comes from the experience of editing so much audio. Since Elliott put in yeoman’s work in order for us to get the show out there quickly enough you’re simply hearing more of the actual pace of our conversations. If you listen to that episode again, I can assure you we have plenty of energy. 🙂
