You can get your copy at your FLGS or from the FFG store at an MSRP of $39.95.
From FFG:
“Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station.”
–Emperor Palpatine, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
The battle for the fate of the galaxy has just begun… Star Wars™: The Card Game is now available at retailers everywhere and online through our webstore!
It is a desperate time for the Rebel Alliance and its allies in this head-to-head card game. One player controls the forces of the dark side as he seeks to tighten his hold upon the galaxy. The strength of the dark side’s position is represented by the game’s Death Star dial, and if the dial reaches “12,” the dark side wins. In order to advance his cause, the dark side player can command the vast military might of the Imperial Navy’s fleet of Star Destroyers and TIE fighters, the devious cunning of the Sith, and the mercenary talents of the Scum and Villainy of the galaxy.
Fighting against the dark side’s tyrannical rule, the other player assumes the cause of the light side forces. To claim victory, he must defeat three dark side objectives. It’s no easy task, but he’ll be able to make use of every resource and tactic available to the Rebel Alliance, the Jedi, and their allies among a small host of Smugglers and Spies.
An Innovative New Model of Deck-Building
Designed by Eric M. Lang, Star Wars: The Card Game features an innovative new model of deck-building. Each card in Star Wars: The Card Game belongs to an “objective set” of six cards, containing one objective and five associated cards. When you want to build a deck, you simply create an objective deck of ten or more objectives and shuffle all the associated cards into your deck. This process lowers the learning curve for new players.
The Fall of the Jedi objective set features Fall of the Jedi, Darth Vader,
Dark Side Apprentice, Vader’s Lightsaber, Force Choke, and Heat of Battle
On the other hand, veterans will recognize the different approaches, synergies, and combinations they can build into their decks by selecting different objective sets. They’ll find their deck-building decisions share the same quality and impact as in other games, but their choices are rarified, as the fewer decision points places greater emphasis on each decision.
Cinematic Action
With its dramatic edge battles, far-reaching Force struggles, and fast, tactical combats, Star Wars: The Card Game allows players to recreate their favorite moments from the original Star Wars movies, and it allows them to imagine fantastic new battles as well. Each turn, the game’s iconic heroes, villains, and starfighters take center stage as players launch attacks, set snares, and master the ways of the Force in an effort to defeat their opponents’ objectives and protect their own.
Star Wars: The Card Game is available now at your local retailer and online through our webstore. You can learn more about the game from our video tutorial.
