BBC Pulls Plug on ‘Doctor Who: Worlds in Time’

The BBC has revealed they will be discontinuing the Doctor Who: Worlds in Time browser based game on Monday March 3rd. While I don’t know how popular the game has been – I tried it and found it a bit boring – I’m sure there will be plenty of Doctor Who fans who will be sorely disappointed. At least they’re offering players a discount on purchase at the BBC Shop to help salve the wound.

The announcement:

As of today, January 14th, 2014, the game will no longer be accepting transactions from players. Existing players are welcome to use their earned in-game currency over the next two months. Customer support and game maintenance will be available through the shutdown date.
