Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment will unleash more interactive zombie fun, at this month’s San Diego Comic Con, with The Walking Dead: Escape. Obviously based on the hit AMC show and of course Kirkman’s own The Walking Dead comic, Escape will once again invade Petco Park – I always wonder if there are any zombie Padres roaming around – and plunge fans into the middle of a zombie apocalypse evacuation gone horribly wrong. Tickets are still available for both July 25th and 26th and early bird specials can still be had through the Fourth of July.
Truthfully, these events at Petco Park have been major highlights of the entire Comic Con experience the past couple years and I’m surprised you can still grab tickets, so if you’re hitting the show you best get a move on to reserve your spot in the middle of the undead mayhem.
About the event:
If you’ve read, watched or played The Walking Dead, now you can fully immerse yourself in its survival-driven world. With the infection spreading and Walkers around every corner, a government evacuation center is your only hope. Or is it? Climb, crawl, hide and slide your way through. Work in teams or go it alone. Your choices will determine whether you’ll clear quarantine or join the undead. For those already infected, professional Walker make-up from Greg Nicotero’s world famous KNB EFX will take you to the next level.
It’s not a race or an obstacle course. It’s not a haunted house. It’s The Walking Dead’s ultimate fan experience.
