I have to say I was a bit disappointed my friend Byron Collins didn’t hit the funding goal the first time out with Polyversal; I’d talked with Byron about the miniatures system and seen it at various conventions and it looks really cool. Now the near-future SF game, from Collins Epic Wargames, is back in a big way with a much more achievable funding goal.
Polyversal runs through June 9th and, while there are quite a few pledges to choose from, you can grab the boxed set with minis from both warring factions at the $110 level of support.
About the project:
Polyversal is a new near-future science fiction tabletop miniatures wargame from Collins Epic Wargames, now on Kickstarter. Polyversal is a universal system that works with 6-15mm miniatures you may already have or jump in to the system with one of the boxed sets featuring miniatures and everything you need to play. The system offers extensive customization, allowing you to design Combatant Tiles for any miniatures you’d like to bring to the tabletop, in any science fiction setting.
Collins has partnered with 6 different manufacturers as well as artist Bruno Werneck, the concept artist from Tron: Legacy, to help bring the game to life after nearly 8 years of design by Ken Whitehurst. The game has its own compelling backstory that you can help us tell, set in a near-future dying Earth between two initial combatants- the UN and OPFOR.
Polyversal is on Kickstarter for the next 30 days and has a funding goal of $30,000. The project features gameplay videos, reviews, a print-and-play you can try, and much more. By pledging, you’ll also be the first to receive several new models currently unreleased from Brigade Models, Plasmablast Games, and The Phalanx Consortium. In addition, the Kickstarter is “shipping friendly” for the USA, Canada, the European Union, and Australia, saving backers in these zones significantly on shipping as well as eliminating import fees.
Pledge for Polyversal today and help us make this game a reality.
